9-9-14 Biblical Wisdom Part One

As I start to write the second post of the second year of posting, I am contemplating all the good Bible verses strung out before me on Post-its that I have not used in previous post. Let us look at some of these and see if we can find some wisdom to share.
I am amazed at how many people are unhappy with government today. It is as if wisdom is absent in government. That should be expected since Fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10) and little fear of the Lord is evident in governance today. If the Lord gives wisdom then edicts not in line with the Bible cannot be good. America needs Biblical guidance more and more as the days go by in our downward plunge.
Proverbs 2:2-5: 2 Make your ear attentive to wisdom,
Incline your heart to understanding;
3 For if you cry for discernment,
Lift your voice for understanding;
4 If you seek her as silver
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will discern the fear of the LORD
And discover the knowledge of God.
And if nations do not follow this advice: Psalms 9:
7 But the LORD abides forever;
He has established His throne for judgment,
8 And He will judge the world in righteousness;
He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity.
15 The nations have sunk down in the pit which they have made;
In the net which they hid, their own foot has been caught.
16 The LORD has made Himself known;
He has executed judgment.
In the work of his own hands the wicked is snared.

If only America had leadership intelligent enough to call for a return to the Lord. This is from Psalm 46:10:
Cease striving and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
America is striving with many other nations since we turned from him. If the Lord were to speak to America as He did to all of Israel at Bochim in Judges 2:1-5; might He not say return to me and I will protect you? Look at this scripture from Psalm 47:
O clap your hands, all peoples;
Shout to God with the voice of joy.
2 For the LORD Most High is to be feared,
A great King over all the earth.
3 He subdues peoples under us
And nations under our feet.
4 He chooses our inheritance for us,
The glory of Jacob whom He loves. Selah.
5 God has ascended with a shout,
The LORD, with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises;
Sing praises to our King, sing praises.
7 For God is the King of all the earth;
Sing praises with a skillful psalm.
8 God reigns over the nations,
God sits on His holy throne
America is very unhappy with our government but what we have is the inheritance we have strove for fifty years now since our rebellion in 1963. America needs Christ’s Church to call for a return to our benefactor and call out those politicians who approve of evil. Isn’t that what 2 Timothy 4:2 calls for?
2 Timothy 4:2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.
