12-18-13 Part 2 of The Sovereignty of the Baby in the Manger

All scripture is NASB unless otherwise noted:
This is some of the most awesome scripture in the Bible. All kinds of books could be written about all the roles of Christ in this scripture; but, I will only cover a little of all the implications in this scripture. Colossians 1:15-19 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.her.
Psalm 145:3 tells us His greatness is unsearchable and when we combine the last verse above: He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together, we have reason to ponder all the things Christ does for us that we may not often consider.
One of the things Christ created and holds together are the basic building blocks of his creation, the atoms: http://www.khanacademy.org/science/chemistry/introduction-to-the-atom. Atoms are the smallest building blocks of creation identifiable as individual elements such as oxygen, nitrogen and etc. Five million hydrogen atoms could fit on a pin head. Christ put a strong force in each atom known as the nuclear force. It is extremely difficult to pull atoms apart and when the hydrogen atom reacts to a strong enough force, we have the terribly powerful hydrogen bomb! Years ago, a friend asked if I had ever considered that the Lord put this nuclear force in the atom? Since I was already pondering the power and the glory of the Lord, I took to that idea like a duck to water and it greatly amplified my pondering.
The Bible tells us the universe will disappear with a roar: 2 Peter 3:7&10: –the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly and The heavens will disappear with a roar. How could that be possible? Because Christ created the universe, he can destroy it since he put the nuclear force in the atoms, he can remove it! Psalm 119:90b-91 tells us You established the earth, and it stands. They stand this day according to Your ordinances, For all things are Your servants. Jeremiah 33:25 tells us Christ is the father of physics as part of a rhetorical question Thus says the LORD, ‘If My covenant for day and night stand not, and the fixed patterns of heaven and earth I have not established; Christ then goes on to say that only then would he forget Israel and he promised to never forget Israel. In the NIV, the word patterns of the NASB becomes laws.
The Bible tells us that before we had one day, the Lord knew us: Psalm 139:15-16 15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; 16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them. Years ago in an early morning men’s Bible study of Genesis, my pastor asked what does 3:19 mean when it tells us we will return to the ground and I answered it means when our bodies decay, we will return to the molecules and atoms we were made from. The Holy Spirit then led me to 2 Peter 3:5 the earth was formed out of water and by water and then gave me there in the mist you were! David confirms this in the Psalm 139 scripture. D James Kennedy said that when we are resurrected, the Lord will put us back together in a moment no matter what stream our atoms flowed down.
Have you considered what the Lord does for each of us every single day? A human cell is a terribly complex thing. We Christians who have seen Focus on the Family’s Eternity Project video on the human cell found it awesome. A human cell even has tiny machines that snipe off portions of DNA and ship if off to other cells. I could not find a link to that video but here is one on DNA: http://health.howstuffworks.com/skin-care/information/anatomy/shed-skin-cells.htm Our Lord replaces about one trillion of our cells each and every day and each cell has your life’s code in that cell’s DNA!
The Lord also gives you your first breath and your last breath and every one in between. Remember how the above Psalm 139 scripture above tells us that; in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them? Our creator Lord knew all our days before we had one because he gives us each and every breath. Death is tragic for people who do not know Christ. Their last breath may be upon them in an instant and then it will be too late for them. Death is a victory for those in Christ!
Do you know that baby in the manger as the Almighty, Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and Your Creator, as your personal Savior this Christmas? Are you starting to see the sovereignty of that baby in the manger? Do you understand He is watching you and has every moment since your birth? Will you seek and choose His mercy and salvation this Christmas and celebrate your eternal life with Him?
Remember, eternal life with Christ does not come from your being good enough or full of works as neither gets you personally acquainted with Jesus Christ? Christ is near to all with a humble and repentant heart who earnestly seek him. Know that with a humble and repentant heart, Christ can be found on your knees!
