Scripture is NASB unless otherwise noted:
Let us worship Jesus Christ who came as God’s Word and so much more:
Isaiah 9:6 announced that: For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Years ago I fell in love with God’s Word and love how one verse of truth here leads you to truth in the rest of the Bible so let us look at some of the places the above verse can lead us. My pastor is also using this verse in his Christmas messages. I love how the Bible can speak to each person based on where that person is. The Lord gives our pastor guidance as you can readily tell by his sermons. I hope you have a pastor like him and if you do, one who is in scripture in an inerrant Bible.
My E book, America, Christ Top Nation has Fallen, which is described on my website at http://www.americaisafallennation.com, is built around this part of the above scripture; And the government will rest on His shoulders. This will be expanded upon in Part 2.
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor. My favorite scripture on Christ as our friend and Wonderful Counselor is this scripture from Job 16:19-21 NIV. Picture poor Job; he is sitting there full of terrible pain and sores trying to defend himself from close friends who were blaming Job for all the harm that come on him. Job was a man exceedingly rich and prosperous who had now lost everything but his wife. He had even lost all his children and now his wife recommended that he quit maintaining his integrity and just curse God and die (Job 2:9)! It is hard to imagine any person other than Christ on the cross (see Psalm 22) being more lonely and full of hurt and yet in the midst of all this physical and mental oppression he said this in what is some of my favorite scripture:
19 Even now my witness is in heaven;
my advocate is on high.
20 My intercessor is my friend
as my eyes pour out tears to God;
21 on behalf of a man he pleads with God
as one pleads for a friend.
Job knew his counselor friend Jesus in Heaven even thou Job is the oldest book in the Bible! That is the kind of insight that worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our Wonderful Counselor, while being in God’s Word, can give us.
Not only is Christ our Wonderful Counselor here on earth, but Christ sits at the right hand of God, and pleads for us as a friend when Satan accuses us before God as Job so ably confirms. Palm 94:14 For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance. What a promise that is to the followers of Christ. The never, ever, forsake us is something we can bank on.
Mighty God. The Holy Trinity is an awesome thing to us followers of Christ. Christ claimed he came as the very Word of God since he is an equal part of the Trinity. That is why the Bible proclaims Jesus is Lord to the glory of God: Philippians 2:9-11 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Proclaiming Christ is Lord does not take away from God but brings glory to God!
As part of the Trinity, Christ could promise the Holy Spirit as a helper for us from the Trinity when he ascended into Heaven: John 14:16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever. What a Savior, who gives us a helper like the Holy Spirit.
Eternal Father: The revelation from Christ states in Revelation 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Christ has never been absent from his followers and never will be: John 1:1-5: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. The Bible tells us in Psalm 145:3, 5 and 10 that Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, And His greatness is unsearchable. Christ is also Father to all of his creation 5: The eyes of all look to You, And You give them their food in due time and everything will praise him 10: All Your works shall give thanks to You, O LORD.
Prince of Peace: Simply put, there is no peace without Christ! Look at America. In our rebellion we turned from Christ in 1963 and we are now at the point we do not even know who all our enemies are! It was tragic that we turned from Christ. The last chapter of my book, America, Christ’s Top Nation has Fallen, shows in statistics available to everyone on the internet how America rebelled and fell. There can be no peace without Christ, the author of peace and all freedom, period. If America wants all of our freedoms back, wants our prosperity back, our freedom to worship and follow Christ anywhere and everywhere, freedom from want and fear of crime, safety for our children, and an end to the American holocaust of abortion; there can be only one answer, and that is to repent and return to Christ because he is the mediator between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus and no peace for us without Christ: Matthew 10:34 Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword as Luke 2:14 tells us, peace is for his followers Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased. Did you see that the peace Christ can bring is among men with who He is pleased and again in Psalm 25:10: All the paths of the LORD are loving kindness and truth To those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.
Wake up America, repent and accept God’s greatest gift to man, Jesus Christ this Christmas and return to Him or we will keep falling further into oblivion without Him? Let us once again turn to Christ and be in love with His ways: Psalm 26:8 O LORD, I love the habitation of Your house And the place where your glory dwells.
